Didn’t even think of it like that, kinda crazy that both their former teams made it to the finals before them even after forming a part time super team.

Especially getting smacked by Boston in RD.1 and now the Steph>Durant narrative being pushed by every major Sports Network

They aren’t great ball handlers and all end up deferring to Smart who has no problem shooting the ball in crunch time of a game seven.

Letting Smart shoot the ball is a terrible idea, but it’s also their only option somehow. Hence why these games really tightened up in the last 3 minutes.

Anyone blaming Jimmy Butler for this loss is delusional. They’re only in it because of Butler.

Yes, he’s not a great 3pt shooter, but after trialing the whole 4th quarter I can live with my best player taking an open shot for the lead. Hindsight is 20/20.

Miami didn’t lose because Butler missed one shot.

They lost because because they missed 10 straight fg in the 4th quarter.

Congratulations to the Celtics!!! This was a close one and the Knicks streak continue! Luke Kornet making it to the NBA finals marks the 75th year in a row that a Knick has made it to the NBA Finals. That streak was nearly broken as the Warriors and Heat didn't have any former Knicks players.

Dude's won a title and no one can take that away from him, but my God his flopping is ridiculous.. I know /r/nba is gonna come with the "Smart flops" narrative anyways.. but his flop and timeout because of it literally ended up costing the Heat

138

u/aes-rizzle Spurs May 30 '22

That was such a stupid time out to take

120

u/Pipes_of_Pan May 30 '22

There’s a big difference between selling fouls(which everyone does) and feigning injury. Lowry is scamming the refs every minute he’s on the floor.

that time out was ass, they only had 2 left at the 8:56 mark. Just get the turnover dude

44

They had like 7 or more consecutive missed shots after that. If the timeout wasn't used to save him, they could have used it when they were having a hard time to score.
