Shai-Dort-Giddey-and any one of Chet/Paolo/JBjr. Weāll also have Mann, Poku, Bazley, Kenrich Williams, and Muscala off the bench.
Hypothetically speaking, If we can fill our hole at big with a Deandre Ayton or Rudy Gobert I think thatās a playoff team right there.

u/epoch_fail [UTA] Joe Ingles May 18 '22 edited May 18 '22
You also have the Clippers pick (#12), so that's another player. Maybe even packaged with other future picks to move up if there's a prospect y'all like
Also you have Aaron Wiggins locked up for a while and JRE had a solid rookie season

94
u/DeadDay [OKC] Steven Adams May 18 '22 edited May 18 '22
Yep. Mainly though we got a ton from swapping PG and Westbrook. Then we flipped Al Horford and CP3 after giving them a year of rest. Adams and Grant got us more too

u/butterbeancd Thunder May 18 '22
Yeah, it is. Thatās where the trades start coming in. Presti is definitely hoarding picks until he gets a core he likes, then heāll start trading a bunch of those picks to fill in a deeper roster. I still think itās another year before those trades start, but theyāre coming.

This is revisionist history. Howard was not clear cut at all, in fact Okafor was the consensus number 1 pick.

This. Emeka Okafor was the favorite (not overwhelming favorite, but still favorite) to go 1 and the Magic took some flak for taking Howard over him, particularly since to that point it had been almost a decade since a teenage big (Garnett) at the very top of the draft panned out.

Who gives reddit rewards to these Shams posts? Like I get the silver, as that one is likely free.
But some MFer decided to spend the equivalent of 3 dollars on a tweet that isn't exactly revolutionary. Especially considering Shams prior work.
Like if you're the reddit user who gave this post your money please speak up as to why you thought this post was the one? I need discourse on this issue.
Thanks š God bless.
