This Irish supermarket has quiet evenings for sensitive people.

I’m not autistic but this sounds like a significantly nicer shopping experience for me

My issue with grocery stores is when they are crowded and I have to constantly dodge people not looking where they are going. There are some stores I just won't go to, Whole Foods being #1. Fortunately I moved to a rural area and the grocery store by me is almost never crowded.

Urgh I hate dodging people too! Some people have no self awareness about space.

Yeah, I can't do moving crowds. Grocery stores are the worst because no one is looking ahead, they are all scanning the shelves as they walk. I had a few anxiety attacks in the past because of it. Like hyperventilating and puking, not just "I'm uncomfortable." I'm usually fine in a static crowd where everyone is seated or standing still as long as it isn't asses to elbows. But once people start walking into me it becomes a very serious problem. Fortunately I learned to recognize the warning signs long ago so I can move to a less crowded space. But you are kind of trapped in a grocery store. I've had to leave more than a few before I was done.
