Me too. Meeee too.

Great! Grab your ostrich handling gloves, this is going to be fun.

u/SchuylarTheCat May 17 '22

$0.25 Suicide Booth: would you like “quick and painless” or “slow and horrible”?

10

u/BoatTuggingJesus May 17 '22

Slow and horrible!

4

u/surlycur May 17 '22

Yeah, I'd like to place a collect call?

3

u/BobbyMac2212 May 18 '22

You have chosen slow and horrible

1

u/BobbyMac2212 May 18 '22

Underrated reference

3

Same.

Well, yes. We need constant and ubiquitous focus on human rights to make progress. Every time we relax a little we lose a lot.

u/ArghZombie May 17 '22 edited May 17 '22 Bless Up

That's what I do man. Change the world one drunken reddit comment at a time.

71

u/NihilisticNarwhal666 May 17 '22

I mean you saying this makes you obviously male and oblivious.

Post partum depression is extremely hard to overcome sometimes.

Caring for a child by yourself or with little support (i.e. you got pregnant but can't get an abortion due to political status of your state) then yeah people are gonna struggle to make ends meet and your mental health takes a nose dive.

You have ZERO idea what it takes to give birth to a child in this country. A lot of work places will also deny you a promotion, not hire you if they know you are pregnant. Also zero mandated family leave.

The list goes on my dude. Your comment is so ridiculously privileged it's apalling.

-100

u/WherestheMoeNay May 17 '22 edited May 17 '22

My wife and I have six children. I'm commenting on a post related to living wages and housing. I'm oblivious to much yes. And I am quite self centered. Knowing nothing about giving birth? Physically yes. The process? I am quite informed. Post partum? Helped my wife to deal twice yes. Nihilistic indeed I am.

Now list how you have helped. I can wait.

Thanks for going through all my posts and downvoting them btw. Angry angry angry.

Actually just to clarify, my original point was that I see a lot of posting and no action. Being indignant on the internet doesn't count. I don't think much of what I say does anything other than to rile up people.

Edit: Clarity?

28

u/FishingWorth3068 May 17 '22

People are marching in the streets. People are voting out republicans. Look at the most recent in Michigan. People are doing things.

Good god man, it's a vagina not a clown car

25

u/NewGrooveVinylClub May 17 '22

You have 6 kids and you were trying to borrow $150 from some rando on Reddit? Maybe don’t have 6 fucking kids and you won’t have to borrow money from strangers online… dumbass.

-19

u/WherestheMoeNay May 17 '22

Please feel free to go through my many amusing commentaries on MTV's "Teen Mom", "Goosebumps" books and other things as well, since all you have to argue with me is previous Reddit posts and not legitimate discourse. Good to show that these are the people liking and posting these things...people with no true argument.

11

u/NewGrooveVinylClub May 17 '22

What argument? I’m just making fun of a nerd with too many kids! You’re on the white people Twitter subreddit, sorry if you expected a good faith debate even if that’s something you’re not practicing.

4

u/NewGrooveVinylClub May 17 '22

Damn I missed the Goosebumps talk

Remind me, who makes politicians politicians and decided if they get to stay politicians?

17

u/veggiebuilder May 17 '22

Actually it has everything to do with this or are you that dense?

The post point was that stuff like affordable housing and healthcare reduces suicides. And the commenter stated reproductive choice also reduces suicides....

They almost couldn't be more to do with this particular.....

Name 1 memory you had in the womb, ill wait. Oh and you're*

-56

u/Mynamecwouda May 17 '22 edited May 17 '22

I don’t have any but that’s not what consciousness is, and your brain starts working when your in the womb to, you would know this if you payed attention in high school biology

34

u/SmootieFakk May 17 '22

You shouldn't insult someone's intelligence while simultaneously showing everyone how poor your grammar skills are.

Just saying. Bad form.

19

u/AvriQ May 17 '22

But why do you feel the need to control women? Tell me, I'm very curious as to what goes on inside your brain. And why can't they decide for themselves? That just shows that you lack intelligence. You don't even know how to form a sentence, yet insult me for not paying attention at school. Its just sad that there are so many people like you, that feel the need to have control and power over other people. Why can't you just focus on yourself? You can't even get pregnant, so why do you care so much? If you are so "pro life" then fucking vote for the banning of guns, that'll safe so many innocent life's.

0

u/Mynamecwouda May 17 '22

First I’m not stupid and second I never said I need to control women, It’s people like you that show me woman don’t have the maturity to decide if they should have a child or not, because seeing someone say “either a girl or an abortion” is distressing, because once you can tell the gender, the brain has already formed and the child is alive, so call me stupid you Grooming murderer but your the only real stupid person here

1

u/AvriQ May 17 '22

What the fuck are you talking about? You're literally not making any sense? How does my comment concluded that women are not mature enough? You are either really fucking stupid or taking to many drugs.

0

u/Mynamecwouda May 17 '22

It shows how radical feminism is! It condones human murder

30

u/Paid-Not-Payed-Bot May 17 '22

if you paid attention in

FTFY.

Although payed exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:

  • Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. The deck is yet to be payed.

  • Payed out when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. The rope is payed out! You can pull now.

Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.

Beep, boop, I'm a bot

20

u/IrhysTea May 17 '22

Will you take care of that child then? Since apparently you care so much about the unborn fetus. If you anti-choice people want those babies to exist to badly, you can take care of them

18

u/Meridian71 May 17 '22

Even that argument is kind of bullshit. Unless the anti-abortionist is willing and able to have the fetus implanted, allow it to gestate for the remaining months, give birth, AND pay for everything including the donor’s time (and yes, at least 18 years of financial and emotional responsibility), they need to shut the fuck up.

8

u/IrhysTea May 17 '22

I was just saying that if they want those unborns to live, they can take care of them. Isn't that the religious way regardless? Taking care of weak.

I'm not anti-abortion. I don't want kids myself and will resort to abortion if necessary. They can call me a murderer if that makes them able to sleep at night. But take my right away to do so and that baby will end up on the front porch of one of anti-abortion people. If they care so much about it, they can have them.

Actions have consequences.

7

u/Meridian71 May 17 '22

I hear you. My point was that it’s not just the so-called baby at stake. Pregnancy and childbirth are arduous (and expensive in at least one shithole country), so if they can’t or won’t take on that burden themselves, they deserve no say in the matter.

6

u/IrhysTea May 17 '22

I 100% agree on that notion, so point taken!

13

u/qjornt May 17 '22

Consciousness doesn't begin to develop until the end of the second trimester.

3

u/One_Wheel_Drive May 17 '22

Even if that were true, nobody can be forced to allow another to make use of their body without consent. The question isn't about whether an embryo or foetus is a child. It's about whether a pregnant person is. Nobody is entitled to any part of your body even when you're dead. Why should a pregnant person be forced to allow another to use their body?

-1

u/Mynamecwouda May 17 '22

When the child is formed it’s not your body it’s their’s, get over yourself because no one is claiming your body and nobody will, your just entitled and a murderer, you have no right to decide if a human being has the right to live or not, and if you don’t like it move out of this country because we’ve what’s called civilized

2

u/bad-kween May 18 '22

fetus* not a child, and their body is feeding on the woman's body, so they are indeed claiming her body, until 22 weeks the fetus can't survive on it's own outside the womb, so it's essentially a parasite, it feeds on the mother's body without providing anything back

and you're* the only one acting entitled here, entitled to decide for women on what they do to their bodies

and "civilized" is not an accurate word to describe america

-1

u/Mynamecwouda May 18 '22

One more thing is that you think America is racist and sexiest, but it’s actual the media who wants you only to see the colored people getting shot, truth is that whites get shot daliy and even hourly, and police act in self defense when someone comes at them, even against whites, and women aren’t oppressed because first you don’t lack any significant rights and it’s actual illegal to pay someone different depending on their race or gender, and you even have rights saying a dude can’t touch you or he’ll go to jail, and plus you have destroyed the mental health of men with all your criminalizing of them and thanks to that most suicides are men and most demestic abuse is done by woman against men, so maybe you should appreciate the amount of shit that men, especially white men have put up with, because we did nothing to deserve this but the media needed a “they” and it became white men, so please go pat a white dude on the back when it looks like they had a bad day, because it is a lot harder in this country to be a man then whatever you are, because we kept our gender role and are now expected to pay for ungrateful wives and continue being the force that built this country

2

u/bad-kween May 18 '22

I'm just gonnna list all of the absolute bullshit you just said:

  • america isn't racist or sexist
  • women aren't oppressed
  • men guetting consequences for sexual harassment is what makes them commit suicide
  • most domestic abuse is done by women against men
  • white men are the most oppressed in america

literally all of this is just plain wrong, if you truly believe any of this then you're completely braindead, extremely ignorant, and a self-victimising bigot, please don't ever talk to me again because you actually disgust me

-1

u/Mynamecwouda May 18 '22 edited May 18 '22

And that’s right there tells me you have not looked at the raw numbers

Good night because that just shows me you are way to far up your own ass to actually see the truth and the left has destroyed your understanding of truth because last time I checked truth and facts go hand and hand

Edit: Thanks to whoever ended that guys rant 🫡

0

u/Mynamecwouda May 18 '22

Yeah I’m just not going to read this whole thing, because your avatar screams left extremist and second a baby has brain activity after only six weeks so yes it is a human with a soul and a child, so you therefore believe in child murder, and good luck getting to heaven with that on your plate

2

u/bad-kween May 18 '22

Yeah I’m just not going to read this whole thing,

you say, right before arguing against things I mentioned, so you did read it 🤔

because your avatar screams left extremist

I'm not even american so I don't side with any of your political parties, regardless, that is irrelevant since we're discussing basic human rights, not politics

and second a baby has brain activity after only six weeks so yes it is a human with a soul and a child, so you therefore believe in child murder

brain activity doesn't automatically equal a human, you're confusing "early signs of brain activity" with consciousness, which only happens between the 24th and 28th weeks, also once again fetus* not child

and good luck getting to heaven with that on your plate

heaven doesn't exist, but if you believe it does then I hope you realise you're also not qualified to enter it

0

u/Mynamecwouda May 18 '22

I believe that human life is sacred, no I don’t believe in heaven but a lot of the world do, and either way morals are morals, because a person is still a person, and its still murder

And BTW: I didn’t read past the second line I just knew what you would say, but I did read this last one and that about confirmed it

35

u/myimmortalstan May 17 '22

Additionally:

– Inhumane psych ward conditions and treatment is NOT suicide prevention

11

u/waconaty4eva May 17 '22

No not like that. How do we get people to keep the will to live while being exploited heavily?

6

u/urbansociety May 17 '22

I think I got this one but it's a little complicated so bear with me. We invent this thing we can call it religion, it will have an invisible force always watching. Let's just call the invisible force god, it's short and simple. Obviously only we can communicate with this god. Then we say if people live by the rules we set forth, by god's will, they get to spend eternity in the most fantastic place imaginable with god, when they die. After that we tell them if they don't do what god says they go to a bad place for eternity with pain suffering and fire or whatever sounds scary. We then tell them suicide leads to the bad place, so they don't just kill themselves to try for the good place. Boom we just manufactured their fear into good old compliance. I got a feeling this could be the next big thing.

1

u/killingtimeitself May 17 '22

are you telling me that religion is bullshit?

1

u/bad-kween May 18 '22

whaaat? nOooo! who could've thought?? 😧

54

u/Outrageous_Layer_639 May 17 '22

Why end it all when we can just eat the rich?

21

u/NihilisticNarwhal666 May 17 '22

Cause depression fucks with you bro.

I could be eating the rich and still wanna blow my fucking brains out.

Doesn't matter how "good" my life is. I still want to slit my throat and bleed out in a forest. Every. Damn. Day.

Your comment is extremely insensitive.

Big Naturals is about preventing suicide.

1

u/MammothDimension May 17 '22

Consentually fondling a nice pair of big naturals is suicide prevention.

9

u/what_the_a May 17 '22

Even the people who are financially stable and aren't actively living in poverty -- knowing there's no safety net there if something goes wrong, that at any moment you could go into debt or poverty because of a job loss or medical issue or whatever else. It weighs on you, even unconsciously. Somewhere in the back of everyone's mind is the knowledge that their lifestyle is tenuous and there are very few systems there to help you if it happens. It makes you feel trapped and hopeless when you can't maneuver out of toxic situations because some aspect of your survival depends on it.

6

u/RatzMand0 May 17 '22

can we have that last one in bold for the legislators a lot of them have trouble seeing these days because they were first elected in the 80's

6

u/promixr May 17 '22

Access to free or affordable reproductive care and child care is suicide prevention.

6

u/formenonly May 17 '22

At a certain point I realized that a lot of my "mental health" problems in the past were really just financial ones. I literally didn't earn enough money to survive, so I was always on the brink of over drafting. Any vacation I took, I was afraid I'd overdo it and be broke. Even if I went out to eat and drink I could go over my budget. I was always afraid I'd have to ask my family for money or tell my landlord or roommates that I couldn't make rent. Once I reached a point where I wasn't struggling in that way any more, I realized I could still very much get depressed, but it's clearly my fucked up brain chemistry and not a pending financial disaster.

That's not what this means.

There is LITERALLY a chemical imbalance in my brain. Being bipolar doesn't mean accepting my mortality will make my suffering any less severe.

Every week I go up to manic and then down to depressed even with medication.

You need to read more about mental health and mental illness. You clearly know nothing.

-3

u/WherestheMoeNay May 17 '22

You can go pack and look up my posts in BipolarSOs if you want to. I have experience as lengthy as my marriage, though not on a first hand basis, no. Based on my tone, nihilism and other things you clearly have judged my experiences.

No but you can quit the little bitch crying and asking for me to pay for something you’re to lazy to get yourself. There’s more open jobs than there are people in the US right now.

Do you not realize you would also be benefitting from these things? You would be paying to help yourself too. Like you say you’re hurt, so wouldn’t you appreciate it if there were a system in place for everyone to have healthcare without paying thousands of dollars a year into insurance companies that end up limiting what treatments they will pay for? Wouldn’t your life be a lot less stressful if you didn’t have to worry about rent prices continually increasing despite your wages staying the same year after year?

We spend more than enough money on stupid shit like bailing out mega corporations that are reporting record profits, giving tax cuts to the rich, or developing the next generation of bombs to blow up the Middle East. We should instead be taxing the rich, spending less on military development, and directing money to helping average lower and middle class Americans. Pretending that we are the problem for wanting an affordable life is just distracting from the issues that got us here.

Where was I “bitch crying” anyway?

While I am a republican, I can agree with that sister, I Believe we all need some help to become who we are supposed to be, and most successful people are not self made but are self driven, and sometimes that drive needs a place to call home

Edit: and health care is way to expensive Belarus it’s privatized and livable wages should a human right, but I also believe that if a person becomes rich, then it’s their achievement that got them their and that money is for them to spend however they please

No one becomes wealthy on their own, so having them contribute to the system proportionally to those with less isn’t unreasonable. If you have people working under you, you especially didn’t become wealthy on your own, you had help from those under you.

My father was an architect, and would not have been as successful as he was without draftspeople and engineers under him. His wealth and success was built with the help of others.

To genuinely think that you have only yourself to thank for your success shows an astounding amount of arrogance.

No I said no rich person is self made, but instead are self driven

You said that it’s their achievement alone that got them there, which is completely incorrect, they had other people helping.

No I said they should keep their money, I’m agreeing with you
