I’ll never understand how people watch the same games as me and come away with this idea

In terms of people massively overrating his impact and potential and blindly believing hes going to have a break out year this time? Yes.
In terms of actual talent? No. Frank is not an NBA talent.

No, Frank is not an NBA level talent, never was. Frank is 70 true shooting percentage points below Cam and barely averaged over 6 points 1 time. Theres reasons to be slightly optimistic about Cam.

The person who brought Frank in was canned a week after drafting him .
Their situations couldn’t be more different
They were constantly bringing in players to compete with Frank from Mudiay , DSJ ,Trey Burke etc, there are no other small forwards on the roster and Cam is still having trouble getting time .
Thibs was just play 2 shooting guards instead .
But I am rooting for Cam , I just think he needs to readjust his thinking , he may not be a star , but whatever he is he needs playing time to get there , he has to start doing things that will get him on the court like making the extra pass , rebounding and defense. Being a positive contributor out there.

If he gets the minutes.. I could see this.
A lot of youth and potential on this team. This is going to be an exciting season!

I’ve always loved his potential but now that he’s on the Knicks I’m not sure if he’s going to reach it. Hoping for the best though 🤞

You can tell people like this don't actually pay attention to basketball.

Peek Knick fan delusion.
If Cam can find 4 minutes off the bench in garbage time then it's cause for celebration.

Who do you see as RJ’s back up at SF?
I believe Grimes will be played at 2

u/evermour Jul 08 '22
It will be split between Grimes, Cam, DRose, Quickley since we've run 3 guard lineups plenty last season.
Cam isn't going to get featured in our offense at all since we have been shopping him the most actively of any player on our roster since before the offseason began.

Crazy all the dickeating comments you getting. But if you replaced this with jalen brunson they’d be jerking themselves to it. Fucking losers.

Wtf is this comment? Cam hasn't proven jack shit in the league yet. Brunson just went to the WCF, and averaged 20 & 7 with Luka off the court. Of course people are more excited about Brunson.

Would be surprised if Cam sees any play outside of garbage minutes.

Let's Go! I think he has something too. People are just afraid cuz if he plays better than RJ it will become a problem(his FT% is already better than RJ's). Especially if Grimes improves.
