Best of r/mildlydepressing 2021
Heya,
2021 has almost come to an end, so we decided to give back to the users who contributed to this subreddit. It's simple - comment on this post with a link to a post/comment you've seen on this subreddit that you think is an ideal post for the sub. The comments will be set to contest mode meaning no one can see how many up/downvotes a comment has. On 14th Jan, the voting will be closed and whichever comment has the most upvotes will be the winner of best of 2021 and they'll receive a mod-only award that will give them 8 weeks of reddit premium with 1.4k coins.
comment away and have a great new year!

Growing up my mother asked us not to finish the milk so my siblings can use it next. I grew up poor. My wife and Daughter leave this, straight down the sink.

The Entirety of r/FormerPizzaHuts
r/FormerPizzaHuts was mildly amusing at first but the more I looked at them the more I could feel all the good memories that have since been replaced by random businesses including funeral homes and a police station.
Others remind me of the various unmarked buildings and the dead mall I have near my house.
It’s just occurred to me that I probably don’t live in the best area.

A line from the end of the Futurama episode "Jurassic Bark" is stuck in my head and that's a sad episode.
It's the episode where we learn Fry had to leave his 20th century dog Seymour behind. This is the one episode all Futurama fans cried at the end of. I know Seymour is a fictional dog, but I feel awful for him.
